US Military in Search of Alternative Protein
In a strategic move to shape the future of military rations, the U.S. Army has launched a formal call for alternative protein products and technologies.
It is aimed to strengthen soldier rations with more durable, logistically efficient and high-performance food solutions.
The phenomenon of "Global Protein Gap", which will come to our agenda frequently in the coming years, will make the alternative protein sector a necessity rather than a choice.
It is also worth noting that the Tenebrio molitor (mealworm)-based protein is the first insect protein approved as a 'Novel Food' by the European Union (EU). 👍
