5. Food Innovation Summit

Fedyme had the pleasure of attending the 5th Food Innovation Summit, organized by GİFT (Food, Beverage and Agriculture Policies Research Center) and hosted at the beautiful Boğaziçi University campus in Istanbul.

Now in its fifth year, the summit has become one of Türkiye’s most inspiring meeting points for people who believe food can be healthier, more sustainable and more accessible for everyone. True to its motto, “gıdaya artı katanlar” (those who add a plus to food), the day brought together a wonderfully diverse crowd: academics, entrepreneurs, industry leaders and representatives from public institutions, all sharing a common passion for innovation across the food chain, from field to fork.

We truly enjoyed the thought-provoking presentations and panel discussions, which offered fresh perspectives on the challenges and opportunities shaping the future of food.

For us, the most valuable part of the day was the people we met. We had the chance to connect with speakers from academia, as well as with representatives of the private and public sectors, and to share Fedyme’s vision of sustainable, insect-based protein as an alternative to imported fish meal for aquafeed and pet food. These conversations were open, encouraging and full of new ideas, and we left with many promising contacts and possible collaborations.

We would like to thank GİFT and everyone who helped make this summit such a success. We look forward to continuing these conversations and to adding our own “plus” to the future of food in Türkiye.
